Hunter Reis is a multimedia journalist covering entertainment, pop culture, and politics.

Producer

Hunter began producing the entertainment beat at WEBN-TV, a local news station broadcasting to the greater Boston area. He produced reports for the 2016 Academy Awards and the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards, traveling to Los Angeles for the first time to cover the red carpets. He also covered local news and politics, including the 2015 MA Gubernatorial election.

The following year he began working as an associate producer for “The Rundown” with E! News. “The Rundown” was one of the first scripted programs native to Snapchat, and boasts an audience of over 3 million viewers/episode. He wrote scripts, produced segments, and coordinated interviews with celebrity guests.

Hunter currently works for ‘Entertainment Tonight’ with ViacomCBS.


Social Media Manager

Hunter began his professional work in social media by starting the Instagram account for “The Rundown”. He built it from the ground up, solely managing the account and gaining over 18 thousand followers in just a few months.

After just 1 month at Hearst, Hunter increased the engagement and video views on Clevver News’s Twitter account by 2208%. He introduced monetization to the digital publication, which soon became the highest earning subsidiary of Hearst Magazines across Twitter.

At ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ Hunter manages video content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. In the first half of 2021, Hunter increased Facebook ad revenue for ET by 146% y/y.

Host

Hunter began hosting at WEBN-TV, a local news station based out of Boston, MA. While there, he hosted special news coverage of the 2014 Massachusetts gubernatorial race, the 2016 Academy Awards, and the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards.

He also has been a correspondent for Clevver News where he covered topics such as 2019’s Most Influential Youtuber, red carpet fashion, and the highly anticipated release of Taylor Swift’s “Lover”.
